‘8 Out of 10 Cats’ legend Jimmy Carr is touring Australia next year

Jimmy Carr, one of the world’s greatest comedians, returns to Australia for a headlining tour next year.

The comedian’s ‘Terribly Funny’ tour will kick off in Melbourne on February 17, 2023 and visit 18 stops across the country before concluding in Gold Coast on May 4, 2023. Tickets go on sale Monday, June 27 at 9 a.m. via bohmpresents.com.

As the press release says, “Terribly Funny” “contains jokes about all sorts of terrible things. Terrible things that could have affected you or people you know and love. But these are just jokes – these are not terrible things. Jokes are little lies. Nothing more than wonderful, funny, happy stuff built from language.

There really is no introduction needed for Carr. As a host of beloved panels 8 out of 10 cats and Big quiz of the yearthe comedian has been a mainstay on British television screens for two decades.

On the stand-up circuit it proved equally popular, winning the British Comedy Award for Best Live Stand-Up Tour and going on 10 sold-out tours around the world. His last stand-up, Its dark materialwas the most streamed on Netflix in the UK in 2021. As the press release continues, “there is no point in the show except to make audiences laugh”.
