From June 14, The hunter’s report The podcast will adopt a live format, recorded in front of an audience at the Harold Park Hotel, Glebe, in Sydney’s central west.

The show, dubbed The Chaser Report – Live! was ordered for a first series of four episodes.

As before, the podcast will be hosted by Charles Firth and Dom Knightand will feature appearances from a lineup of the other former original Chaser team, such as Craig Reucassel, Chris Taylor, Chas Licciardello, and Andrew Hansenas well as younger, prettier and funnier comedians from across Australia, including the Chaser trainees.

“This new live format means we will never have to leave the pub again. Recording it at night will get us back to a life of breakfast beers and long lunches,” said co-host Charles Firth. “We think now that Labor is in government, everyone will be drunk for the next three years.”

At a time, The hunter’s report will launch a new premium episode of its podcast, which comes out every Friday. The first season will be called Questions and answers about drunkenness, and it will only be available to the most demanding (i.e. paying) listeners. There will be two options for listeners.

BASIC: For $7 a month, they can get an ad-free version of The Chaser Report every week.
DELUXE: For $9 a month, they also get the VIP member-only episode which promises to be much more libelous and cowardly than the episode available for free.

“Basically we’re going to be the Netflix of Australian comedy podcasts made by aging satirists,” said Dom Knight. “It’s bound to be very popular.”

Sydney fans can purchase tickets to the podcast taping for $10. All proceeds will go to The Chaser’s Beer fund. “It’s for a good cause,” Firth said.
