Comedian David Mitchell has Alex Scott and Jermaine Jenas in a nervous breakdown over soccer jokes on the One Show

Appearing on One Show Tonight, comedian David Mitchell, known for his role in Will I Lie To You, made no secret of his disdain for Soccer in front of presenters Alex Scott and Jermaine Jenas.
Alex and Jermaine are both former football pros, with Alex presenting Football Focus and Jermaine appearing often in Match of the Day, and were hysterical over David’s football jokes.

David, who was on the show to talk about his new comedy “Outsiders”, started the show by telling the hosts that he was “NOT a football fan,” to which Jermaine replied cheekily: “We know it!”
Continuing, David said: “The teams always play, they play against each other every year, more than once. It goes on and on and on and on and is never resolved.”
During his rant, Alex and Jermaine were in deep trouble, and even more so when David suggested that once the football teams won it all, they shouldn’t play anymore.
He said: “When they win the double, or the triple, the highest possible level of success for a team, they should be disbanded⦠they go to football heaven, give everyone else a chance!”
Still laughing, Jermaine said, “You wrote off mine and Alex’s career there, in a second.”
The One Show airs every day of the week from 7 p.m. on BBC1.
