EXCLUSIVE: The Daily Wire is set to release a third film for free on YouTube. Independent comedy The Hyperionswith Cary Elwes, will launch on March 10 for viewers in the United States

After its first screening, the film will be available exclusively to Daily Wire members to stream on its website.

According to the conservative media company, their first original, the action-thriller Shut in, recently garnered over 500,000 viewers in its first 72 hours on YouTube and its own website. The popularity of this launch inspired a repeat of the model, the company told us.

“The Hyperions is one of the most creative movies I’ve seen,” said Jeremy Boreing, co-CEO of Daily Wire. “It’s an ingenious comedy that you can enjoy with your family and friends. We’ve always wanted to give it the widest audience possible, and we can’t wait to premiere it next week on YouTube for moviegoers and our members.

With Cary Elwes (The princess to be married), the quirky comedy tells the story of Professor Ruckus Mandulbaum, who in 1960 invented the famous “Titan badge” that transformed a trio of teenagers into beloved superheroes. The quartet quickly became a global phenomenon. Over the years, as egos bruised and resentments grew, the Professor replaced the original Hyperions with new members. Years later, two of the original teenage crime fighters want their powers restored, so rob the professor’s museum to collect their badges, inadvertently taking a few hostages along the way.

Penelope Mitchell (Hellboy), Tanner Buchanan (Cobra Kai), Elaine Tan (tuly), and Alphonso McAuley (walk of shame). The film was written, produced and directed by Jon McDonald (muddy corman) under its American Millimeter banner. Justin Bell of Justin Bell Productions and Jon Michael Kondrath of ReKon Productions were also producers of the film.

Archstone Entertainment handles its international distribution. As we first revealed, the acquisition deal was brokered by Bonfire Legend’s Dallas Sonnier on behalf of The Daily Wire, as part of a deal with distributor Saban Films.

The Hyperions is the fourth film The Daily Wire announced last year. Also on the slate is west Terror in the prairie featuring mandalorian actress Gina Carano.
