Dude makes a movie about wanting to befriend Adam Sandler

I don’t know why but this story rubs me the wrong way. Maybe because this guy’s intentions are so selfish and it’s not a good idea. I am strangely protective of Adam Sandler. We’re not friends or anything (although I would have liked to be) but his films were an integral part of my childhood. They are part of the fabric of my being! They are the reason my brother and I got along as kids because we would both quote âBilly Madisonâ until we got blue faces! Plus he’s a Granite Stater, born and raised in Manchester, so obviously we love that.
According to the New York Post, a guy named Seth Cohen was working as a production assistant on the movie “Big Daddy” in 1998. Here’s Seth:
Apparently, Adam asked Seth to hang out on a “date with a brother” and invited him for a drink in his New York apartment. For some reason, Seth didn’t accept it and he’s regretted it ever since.
Seth doesn’t regret it because he knows the San Man is a genuine and kind guy! He regrets it because of what the friendship could have done for his career. It’s no secret that Adam takes care of his friends and gives them roles in all of his films. Maybe Seth would have been part of this club if he had gone for that drink. But alas, the past is a thing of the past. But Seth is having a hard time letting go. He even went so far as to make a documentary called “Finding Sandler”. 22 years later, Seth still hasn’t had that drink with the comedy legend and he struggles every day about it.
The moral of the kiddos story? Never turn down Adam Sandler when he asks to have a drink with you, otherwise you will live with a life of regret.
