New Jersey Comedy Series set to cause a stir
TOMS RIVER, NEW JERSEY, USA, Sept. 15, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – Filmmakers Frank Modica and Janet Cutugno, creators of The Gilbert Diaries TV series, are bringing back the comedy you usually only see on classic reruns in black and white. the comedy of the golden age which still holds today but is no longer produced, Frank Modica wanted to revive the form with modern twists.
Being a fan of The Marx Brothers, Abbot and Costello, The HoneyMooners, and The Three Stooges, Frank has taken these comedy concepts and combined them with today’s modern comedy in this series.
This series “The Gilbert Diaries” once again captures that sense of good comedy clean both verbally and visually funny for any age group.
The Gilbert Diaries has its first 2 episodes officially selected by the Chelsea Film Festival NYC for a world premiere October 14-17, 2021. The pilot episode of Gilbert Diaries and the 2nd episode of The Gilbert Diaries “Nillianaire” will both air in line only for a limited time of 3 days.
The main character “Gilbert Ferrari”, through his diary, writes about all the funny and strange events that happen to him and that still happen to him on a recurring basis.

Frank Modica is a film and television actor based in New York, NY. Frank Modica was trained and inspired by his late cousin actor Robert Modica at the Robert Modica Acting Studio in New York City in 2012. Robert Modica taught the trade to Broadway legend Marian Seldes, John Turturro, David Duchovny, Louise Lasser and Rachel Ward. . Robert Modica has also worked as an actor, with appearances in films such as The Rain People by Francis Ford Coppola (1969), Love Story by Arthur Hiller (1970), Men of Respect (1990) and Fast Food Fast Women (2000) ), and on such TV series as Kojak and The Equalizer. Frank Modica Jr. was fortunate to have Robert Modica under his wing. Frank Modica also attended the Philadelphia Acting Studio. He has appeared in a wide range of independent films.
Frank has had the opportunity to appear in successful productions, such as Fox TV’s Gotham, as well as Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman.
