Endemol Shine Australia’s Peter Newman announces management promotion

Endemol Shine Australia (ESA), a Banijay company, announced the promotion of three employees to new management positions.
With successful formats in production for all broadcasters, ESA is the largest television producer in Australia. This year, these series include MasterChef Australia, Australian Survivor, Gogglebox, Big Brother, Lego Masters, Married at First Sight, Australian Ninja Warrior, Beauty and the Geek and Retirement home for 4 year olds.

Promotions see executive producer Tara McWilliams become content director, joining existing content directors Amelie Fisk and Marty Benson. McWilliams will expand his remit by overseeing a portfolio of shows across ESA’s entire unscripted slate, while retaining oversight of Married at first sight.

Executive producer david mcdonald rose to head of comedy at ESA, responsible for leading the company into new territory in the form of scripted comedies and sketches, as well as other light entertainment projects. He will continue to oversee Lego masters and Glasses box.

Sarah Richardson
Executive Producer, Scriptwriter, Sarah Richardson was promoted to Head of Scripts, as she continues to grow the company’s growing list of scripted content.
Each will report to the CEO of Endemol Shine Australia Peter Newman in their new functions, which take effect immediately.
