Any viewer looking for a tropical getaway while looking for a daring new comedy should take a look at the trailer that has just been released for “The White Lotus,” a new HBO series that debuts this summer.
“The White Lotus,” created by Mike White (“Enlightened”), follows a group of “rich, fucked up whites” on vacation at an upscale Hawaiian resort.

Jennifer Coolidge, for example, plays a pampered woman who wants to hire a boat so she can sprinkle the ashes of her late mother into the ocean, stating that she will definitely need alcohol and cheese on board, “because I think that I’m going to be a little emotional.

Jake Lacy and Christie Volkmer also star as spoiled honeymooners, along with other cast members including “SNL” alum Molly Shannon, Jolene Purdy, Natasha Rothwell and Sydney Sweeney.
“The White Lotus” will premiere on Sunday, July 11.
