First Look at Pete Davidson and Joe Pesci in New Peacock Series ‘Bupkis’

By Brent Furdyk.

Pete Davidson left “Saturday Night Live” at the end of last season, but he will next be seen in a new comedy series streaming on Peacock.

The half-hour comedy is titled “Bupkis” and recently began production in New York, described as “an augmented, fictionalized version of real-life Pete Davidson.” The series will combine grounded storytelling with absurdist elements of the unfiltered, completely original worldview that Pete is well known for.

The series also features former “Sopranos” star Edie Falco, who will play Davidson’s mother, and “Goodfellas” icon Joe Pesci as Davidson’s grandfather.

Peacock has unveiled the first photo from the upcoming series, featuring Davidson and Pesci.

Davidson wears many hats on his new show; in addition to acting, he’s also a writer and executive producer, like his former “SNL” boss, Lorne Michaels.
