streaming platform BENEFIT has now confirmed a premiere date for the highly anticipated new Australian original series Colin From Accounts.
The new comedy created and written by, and starring, Patrick Brammall (No activity and A Gloomy Christmas) and Harriet Dyer (Wakefield and The invisible Man) will premiere December 1 with all eight episodes dropping at the same time.
The first trailer for the classic romantic comedy ‘Boy meets Girl….girl flashes boy, love story’ was also released today.
Centered on Ashley (Dyer) and Gordon (Brammall), two (rather complex) single humans brought together by a car accident and an injured dog, Accounting Colin is about flawed, funny people who choose each other and are brave enough to show their true selves, their scars and all, as they navigate life together.
Joining Brammall and Dyer is Helene Thomson (Rake, Elvis), Emma Harvie (Frayed, Diary of an Uber Driver), Genevieve Hegney (Young Rock, Doctor Doctor), Michael Logo (Love me, Daryl in Why are you like that), and Tai Hara(Hyde and Seek, Home and Away).
The Foxtel-commissioned series is produced by Easy Tiger Productions and CBS Studios, with Rob Gibson and Ian Collie producing for Easy Tiger (Jack Irish, Rake, Doctor Doctor). The directors are Trent O’Donnell (No activity and Disappointment), Matt Moore (Great and Diary of an Uber driver) and Madeleine Dyer. Executive producers are Brammall, (Harriet) Dyer, O’Donnell, Alison Hurbert-Burns and Brian Walsh. The series is distributed outside of Australia and New Zealand by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
The series has major production funding from Screen Australia with support from Create NSW.
