Follow Friday: Nori Reed Quarantine Interview
Thanks to the coronavirus, the actors are now trapped at home like the rest of us, so we decided that even though we all isolate ourselves, we would do something a little different than we usually do “Follow on Friday” column. Instead of interviewing up-and-coming comedians we love on Twitter, we go live to Instagram every week to check in with some of our favorite people in comedy to get a glimpse of how they’re handling the pandemic. So welcome to our new version of the column, now titled “Follow (from a safe distance) Friday”.
This week, I jumped at the chance to chat virtually with the world’s hottest Nori Reed (HBO Max, Clusterfest, evil on social media) about how she is weathering the shadow of the pandemic. She revealed her favorite songs to sing for herself when she was feeling stressed (Britney and LeAnn Rimes, obviously), discussed the merits of the infamous Sqirl Restaurant post-mold incident, and gave us some great advice. on how to be better on Twitter. She also courageously and candidly shared a devastating personal struggle she has faced over the past few months: “I wouldn’t wish someone would grow a fashionable mule, unless it was of a rioter from the Capitol. Growing a trendy mullet is one of the worst things you can experience. I’m a survivor.”
