FOXTEL expands its family offering with two new channels dedicated to children – DreamWorks and PBS KIDS
FOXTEL is expanding its children’s and family content offering with the addition of two powerful new channels – DreamWorks and PBS KIDS – providing viewers with hours of extra premium family entertainment.
Starting July 1, FOXTEL and NBCUniversal International Networks (NBCUIN) will officially launch DreamWorks – the 24-hour channel dedicated to kids and family entertainment – giving FOXTEL customers access to hugely popular content from any of the studios of most famous animation in the world..
The FOXTEL group will become the channel’s exclusive home in Australia, transporting families on a journey through the fantastically colorful worlds of DreamWorks characters, and bringing epic adventures, adrenaline pumping action and a touch of comedy.
DreamWorks will feature a list of Emmy®-winning original TV series such as Trolls: the rhythm continues! and Dragons: Horsemen of Beurk and critics acclaimed Tales of Arcadia: Troll Hunters. Other fan favorites include The Boss Baby: Back in Business, Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny, Dawn of the Croods, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Detective Noddy Toyland.
FOXTEL also worked with PBS Distribution to launch PBS KIDS – the number one educational media brand for children in the United States – opening up a world of possibilities for young viewers with high-quality educational content parents can trust.
Children will be captivated by award-winning programs such as Arthur – a four-time Emmy recipient for the entertainment program for exceptional children; and winner of the Peabody Prize, Molly from Denali. Other programs include the Australian premieres of Donkey Hodie, a whimsical socio-emotional puppet series, produced by Fred Rogers Productions and Spiffy Pictures, that encourages preschoolers to aim high, challenge themselves and work hard to achieve their goals; and Elinor wonders why – a STEM-based cartoon series about a curious bunny and his friends living in Animal Town.
DreamWorks and PBS KIDS will join FOXTEL’s existing line of children’s channels which includes two dedicated children’s movie channels: FOXTEL Movies Kids and FOXTEL Movies Family, with all movies airing without commercial breaks.
