Gabrielle Dennis to star in NBC comedy pilot ‘Someone Out There’
EXCLUSIVE: Gabrielle Dennis (A Black Lady Sketch Show) is defined as the female lead role in Someone there, NBC romantic comedy pilot based on a Spanish format. The project comes from Always creator Matt Hubbard and The right place Josh Siegal and Dylan Morgan’s editorial team, and Universal Television.
Someone there was originally ordered to fly in January 2020. He was one of five NBC pilots rolled through 2021 after Covid-19 ended the 2020 pilot season. Their casts were released in June. In Someone there Iteration 2020, the two lead roles were to be played by Aimee Carrero and Ryan Hansen.

Written / executive produced by Hubbard, Siegal and Morgan, Someone outside The is based on the Spanish format Pequeñas Coincidencias created by Javier Veiga. The one-camera romantic comedy is about two adults on their way, Derek and Chloe (Dennis), who are challenged by very unexpected strangers to become the best versions of themselves in order to find love and possibly be each other.

Dennis’ Chloe is a no-frills freelance bridal boutique owner and dressmaker who has always known she will have to work with everyone around her to be successful. But in addition to other goals, Chloe just added one more thing: someone to open her heart to.
Ally Pankiw will produce and direct the pilot. Emiliano Calemzuk, Gonzalo Sagardia and Veiga are also executive producers. Someone there is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
Dennis also stars in HBO’s Emmy-nominated sketch comedy series., A Black Lady Sketch Show, and on the new Netflix comedy, The Upshaws, with Wanda Sykes and Mike Epps. His other credits include Rosewood, Luke Cage, The Bobby Brown Story (where she played Whitney Houston) and The game. Dennis is replaced by Gersh.
