Prior to the show’s success, Dan made a few minor appearances like on MTV Canada. Live. While playing since high school, the Toronto native has truly thrived as a writer. It was actually Dan who approached Eugene about the sitcom concept, having never asked his father for help before.
Eugene gushes out about his son, “So when he finally came over and said, ‘I have an idea for a show, do you want to work on it? âAs a dad it’s like, ‘That moment has finally come, thank you; whatever the idea is, I’m going to work on it, we’ll try to get it started.â âWhen Dan recently hosted Saturday Night Live, his father joined in the fun and the crowd went wild.
