Schitt’s Creek star’s wedding comedy adds Good Place star
Schitt Creek Actress Annie Murphy’s Next Comedy Movie The people we hate at marriage added a Disney princess to the cast.
The right place and Frozen star Kristen Bell joins Murphy, along with previously announced Oscar-winning actress Allison Janney and Perfect star Ben Platt, in the dysfunctional family comedy.
The new movie is an adaptation of Grant Ginder’s book of the same name about widow Donna (Janney) who enjoys smoking joints, drinking wine and watching House hunters.
She is forced to reunite with her daughter Alice (Bell), who is stuck in a dead end job and has an affair with her married boss, and her son Paul (Platt), who is not a fan of monogamy, to attend the marriage of his daughter Eloise in the English countryside.
The film will be directed by Claire Scanlon, whose director credits include Brooklyn nine-nine, Office and Shine.
The adaptation will be written by Emmy-winning duo Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin and Wendy Molyneux, known for their work on Bob’s burgers and Deadpool 3.
