And now Bromley-born Tom, who has never been seen without a suit and tie, presents a brand new quiz on Channel 4, which lives up to his name. Tom Allen Quizness. The game show sees members of the public joining in as contestants all hoping their level of general knowledge will net them £ 25,000.
But this game show has a twist, the answers have to be provided while looking “silly” in the process. For example, removing certain words from a sentence and replacing them with something completely irrelevant. According to Tom, it’s more complicated than you might think.

Tom Allen’s bio
Tom is a 37-year-old comedian, actor, writer and presenter known for his stand-up routines and appearances on numerous shows. In his youth, Tom attended school with fellow comedian Rob Beckett, and the two remain good friends to this day. The actor trained as a performer at the prestigious National Youth Theater and began touring with them in Manchester and London.

Early career of Tom Allen
Early in his comedy career, the then 22-year-old Tom won the UK Comedy Newcomer Award So You Think Your Funny ?, and in the same year the BBC New Comedy Award. In addition to his acting work, he wrote and made regular appearances on Radio 4 productions like Dark expectations and The wooden overcoat.

Tom Allen’s later career
Once Tom started to gain momentum on the comedy circuit, he began supporting well-known stand-ups like Sarah Millican, Michael McIntyre, and Romesh Ranganathan. His television work also began to increase and he landed a guest star spot on Additional Slice of Bake Off and, in 2018, was a regular presenter on Bake Off: the professionals.
He is also known for his work on The apprentice: you are fired and other favorite panel shows like Make fun of the week and Richard Osman’s House of Games. He is also set to reappear in the new film trivia series, There is something in the movies, next to Alan Carr, Jennifer Saunders and Michael Sheen.
