Where is Home Alone’s original cast now?

Few expected a movie about a 10-year-old boy fighting two goofy burglars to turn out to be a huge hit and a vacation staple, but a lot of that was down to the incredible cast.
Released in 1990, Home Alone racked up $ 285.8 million in the United States and Canada, and $ 190.9 million in other countries against a budget of $ 18 million, making a huge profit.

The classic film also cast then-unknown child actor Macaulay Culkin into one of the world’s biggest stars and helped his costars land even more roles.
The success of the film led to another sequel with Macaulay and four other, albeit less successful, films with other lead actors.
Now, over 30 years after the original came out, let’s see what the cast is like today.
MACAULAY CULKIN

Following the giant success of Home Alone, the then 10-year-old Macaulay was one of the most sought-after actors, landing roles in other films including My Girl, The Good Son, The Pagemaster, Richie Rich, and he even found himself working with Michael Jackson.
After marrying Rachel Miner at the age of 18 and parting ways in 2002, the actor was seen less and less in roles, ending up dating Mila Kunis for eight years in a romance that ‘they kept it private.
Macaulay was in the limelight again in 2017 when he started dating Disney actress Brenda Song – the couple would welcome a son, Dakota, in April 2021.
The 41-year-old was recently seen playing in the final season of American Horror Story.

The seasoned actress wasn’t exactly a stranger until she appeared in Home Alone, having had roles in numerous films before, including the classic Michael Keaton-directed Beetlejuice.
However, many other roles came soon after, including in Wyatt Earp, Best in Show, Orange County, and A Mighty Wind.
Catherine would go on to land the role of Moira Rose in the critically acclaimed series Schitt’s Creek, which earned her an Emmy for Outstanding Leading Actress.
The 67-year-old has been married to Bo Welch since 1992 and they share two children.
JOE PESCI

The iconic actor’s comedic turn as Harry in Home Alone came as a shock to many, as just two months earlier he had played the vicious and violent Tommy DeVito in Goodfellas, earning him a Oscar.
However, Joe would try his hand at comedy again with My Cousin Vinny, Lethal Weapon 3 and the Home Alone sequel before returning to his roots with Casino.
The star retired from the limelight for a while before making a notable comeback in Martin Scorsese’s c2019 film The Irishman, a role that earned him an Oscar nomination.
Joe, 78, shares a child with his ex-wife Claudia Haro.
DANIEL STERN

Daniel has a fairly long resume in Hollywood, which included the narrator of The Wonder Years series until 1993.
After Home Alone, he found himself in many roles on the big and small screen, with pitstops on Hey Arnold! Family Guy, workaholics and Angie Tribeca.
Most recently, he played a regular role in the Saturday Night Live comic book series Shrill Aidy Bryant.
Daniel, 64, shares three children with his wife Laure Mattos.
KIERAN CULKIN

While Macaulay’s younger brother had his first role in Home Alone, he would go on to star and appear in other notable films including Father of the Bride and his sequel, She’s All That, The Cider House Rules. and Iggy Goes Down.
Kieran is now part of HBO’s popular Succession series, which has garnered him several award nominations.
The actor, 39, also recently hosted SNL.
JEAN HEARD

John had quite a resume before the 1990 family movie, and it only grew longer after that.
He would appear in various films, including The Pelican Brief, Snake Eyes, Pollock, and would also land a role in The Sopranos.
Sadly, John passed away in 2017 at the age of 71 after suffering cardiac arrest. He is survived by his three children.
DEVIN RATRAY

Although he’s also known for playing Buzz on Home Alone, Devin has gone on to land roles in everything from The Prince and Me to Hustlers.
He also reprized his classic role in Home Sweet Home Alone in 2021.
JEAN BONBON

The iconic comic actor was already a household name before Home Alone arrived, with appearances in everything from Little Shop of Horrors, Spaceballs and Planes, Trains & Automobiles.
John appeared in other notable films after the 1990 classic, but his last role would be in Canadian Bacon as he died of a heart attack in 1994. He was 43 years old.
He is survived by two children whom he shared with his wife Rosemary Margaret Hobor.
